Software agreement
Terms of Service
These terms explain the agreement between you and Carl's Creations when you use our Windows PDF software. Please read them before installing, activating, or using the application.
Section 1
Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Carl's Creations. By using the software, you confirm that you can enter this agreement and will follow its requirements.
In these terms, "Software" means the Carl's Creations Windows application, including updates and related components. "Services" means the support, account, licensing, and website services that Carl's Creations makes available with the Software. "User" means the person or organization that installs, activates, or uses the Software.
If you accept these terms for a business or other organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization. If you do not agree, do not use the Software.
Business use
An organization may authorize its staff to use the Software for its internal PDF workflows under its purchased license.
Your acceptance
Continued use after a published change means you accept the revised terms for future use.
Section 2
License Grant and Use Rights
Carl's Creations gives you a limited license to use the Software on Windows computers covered by your purchase or other valid authorization.
- The license is non-exclusive, limited, and non-transferable. It permits installation and use for personal activities or the internal business purposes of the licensed organization.
- You may make a reasonable archival copy of the installation materials when needed for your authorized use. You must keep that copy under your control and preserve all copyright and ownership notices.
- License quantity, term, activation limits, and purchase conditions are set out at the point of purchase or in the applicable order record.
- You may not sell, rent, sublicense, assign, or redistribute the Software. You may not provide access through a hosted service, remote application proxy, or other arrangement that lets unlicensed users use its features.
- You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify, or attempt to discover the source code, except where applicable law gives you a right that cannot be excluded.
Section 3
Acceptable Use and Restrictions
Use the Windows application for lawful document work. You remain responsible for the files you create, process, store, or share.
- Do not use the Software to break the law, infringe another person's rights, or create documents intended to deceive.
- Do not use it to create, distribute, or process malicious documents, harmful code, or files designed to compromise a device.
- Do not bypass activation, licensing checks, security controls, or technical limits.
- Do not interfere with the Software, its support systems, or another user's authorized access.
- Keep your Windows environment, credentials, backups, and source documents secure. Review every converted or edited PDF before relying on it.
Section 4
Intellectual Property Rights
The Software is licensed, not sold. Ownership stays with the party that owns the relevant material.
Carl's Creations materials
All rights, title, and interest in the Software, code, interface, documentation, names, and related materials belong to Carl's Creations or its licensors. These terms grant use rights only and do not transfer ownership.
Your files
You retain your rights in the PDF documents and other data you process. You give Carl's Creations no ownership of that content. You must have the permissions needed to use and process each file.
Section 5
Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
These provisions apply to the maximum extent allowed by applicable law.
SOFTWARE PROVIDED "AS IS"
The Software is provided "as is" and "as available." Carl's Creations disclaims warranties and conditions, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, except where a warranty cannot legally be excluded.
NO GUARANTEE OF UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION
Carl's Creations does not promise that the Software will meet every requirement, operate without interruption, remain compatible with every Windows configuration, or produce an error-free result. You should keep independent copies of important documents.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Carl's Creations and its suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities arising from these terms or the Software.
CAP ON DIRECT DAMAGES
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total liability of Carl's Creations for claims related to the Software or these terms will not exceed the amount you paid for the Software during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Section 6
Support and Updates
Support is available through the contact page. Include your Windows version, Software version, and a clear description of the issue when you write.
Support requests
Carl's Creations may review support requests and ask for steps that reproduce a problem. Do not send confidential documents unless they are necessary and you are authorized to share them.
Changes to the Software
Carl's Creations may issue patches, revisions, or feature changes. An update may alter compatibility or requirements. These terms continue to apply unless replacement terms are provided with the update.
Section 7
Governing Law and Contact
